I’m a Registered Nurse and an Acupuncturist. Both disciplines attracted me because of my lifelong interest in health and the healing arts.

I experienced acupuncture treatment for the first time after suffering a painful condition in my shoulder that methods of Western medicine could not relieve. The success of that treatment frankly surprised me. It also made me determined to find out more about this healing art. The more I discovered about acupuncture, the more convinced I became that it was a natural progression of my training and experience in Western medicine as an RN. So, after a nursing career of more than 30 years, I went back to school – to the TAI Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts (formerly Traditional Acupuncture Institute) – to study, learn, and practice the art of acupuncture.

I earned my Masters Degree in Acupuncture and am currently licensed in the state of Maryland. I am also an active member of the Maryland Acupuncture Society.

In my practice I help my patients discover and draw upon their own inner-healing resources. I treat a full range of conditions, including pain, depression/anxiety, allergies, etc. In addition, I am certified to provide acupuncture treatment for facial rejuvenation and for smoking cessation.
